Sales & Design Associate
The Sales & Design Associate post will provide sales and project management support to the company. The post plays a multi-faceted, key role in bringing in and securing new contractor accounts, through both capturing potential new business and working to market the company. The position requires excellent interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills in order to effectively interact with potential and existing clients.
The post provides the opportunity for a highly-motivated and energetic individual to refine their project management skills, interpersonal and communication skills, and business development skills. The Sales & Design Associate position is a part of the Sales Team, under the leadership and direct supervision of the Sales Manager. Major responsibilities include working with contractor clients to discover their project needs, answering their questions, assisting them with decision making by offering expert input about stone fabrication and installation, and overseeing the start-up and implementation of their projects.
Upon making initial contact with clients, the Sales & Design Associate will be responsible for maintaining communication with clients through follow-up emails and phone calls. The Sales & Design Associate will be responsible for completing sales transactions, including overseeing projects through to completion, as well as conducting follow-ups with clients after completion of the project.
The Sales & Design Associate will play a key role in maintaining and improving the company’s operations. This position will be expected to work in direct collaboration with the company leadership team to develop and improve upon operations procedures and processes.
The Sales & Design Associate will liaise with the Sales Manager and other members of the Sales Team to coordinate around administrative tasks including data entry, file organization, maintaining upkeep of the showroom, client relationship management, etc.
This position will play a key role in managing and maintaining the company’s contractor accounts. Ensuring top level customer service towards the company’s contractor clients is essential. Therefore, previous retail experience is a requirement.
Prior experience in the stone fabrication is required for this position.
Major tasks and responsibilities include:
- Greet and assist customers who enter the showroom or contact the company by email or telephone.
- Guide customers through the sales process by gathering all preliminary information and explaining the fabrication and installation processes.
- Prepare and send quotes/estimates for customers, based off of material selection, square footage, and other specifications.
- Follow-up with all sales leads in a timely manner and on a regular basis.
- Receive and process job deposits and final payments.
- Respond to phone calls and emails relating to customer inquiries and repair requests.
- Conduct preparatory calls to customers in advance of scheduled field appointments.
- Seek to build relationships with new, repeat clients by attending networking events and professional gatherings.
