Full-Height Backsplashes are Trending

Did you know that you don’t have to settle for just a simple four-inch backsplash or a hard-to-clean grout and tile backsplash?

Today’s homeowners are enjoying more options when choosing backsplash applications for their kitchens and bathrooms. The latest look in home design is a full-height backsplash. So, if you love your countertops, why stop there?

A Full-Height Backsplash Adds a WOW Factor to Your Home

Kitchens and bathrooms are high-impact areas. So, homeowners are upgrading these spaces with full-height backsplashes that either match or complement their countertops.

Full-height backsplashes give your kitchen or bathroom a custom and completely seamless look with a matching backsplash cut from the same slab as your countertops. Some homeowners may prefer to choose their solid stone backsplash from a complementary color or pattern. So, you can go darker for your countertops and lighter for your backsplash, or vice versa.

A Slab Backsplash for Every Design Style

A full-height backsplash appeals to many different decorating styles. If you prefer a bold look, a minimalist look or something in between, that can be achieved through the application of a full-height backsplash. Plus, full-height backsplashes look amazing in open-concept living spaces where you can see the backsplash from a distance.

Advantages of a Full-Height Backsplash

There are countless benefits to having a solid surface backsplash. Some customers decide on a full-height backsplash under all of their cabinets or just behind cooking and prep surfaces, such as the stove. Not only will you get a sleek look for your kitchen or bathroom, you will also gain an easy-to-clean surface. Grease, splatters, and grime will wipe easily off the smooth surface of your natural stone backsplash. And maintenance for your slab backsplash is the same as caring for your countertops.

Our customers are choosing solid surface backsplashes for a variety of reasons.

  • Cleanliness
  • High-end luxury
  • Smooth, seamless surface
  • Adds energy to the space
  • Visual impact – WOW factor!
  • No tile grout lines

Installing Your Panel Backsplash

Your full-height backsplash will be scheduled for installation soon after your countertops. Once your countertops are installed, we’ll need to take separate, precise measurements of your wall surface and new countertop height where it touches your wall. This will ensure that there are no visual gaps where your backsplash meets your countertop.

Your stone or slab backsplash will be the same thickness as your countertops. It sits on top of your countertops and is adhered to your walls with secure silicone, which provides super strength to hold them in place. In addition, we’ll place a bead of clear caulk at the countertop seam and along any outside exposed edges. This seam will prevent any dirt and crumbs from getting behind your backsplash. We’ll also measure your backsplash slab to fit around windows and create cut-outs for any electrical outlets.

Your full-height backsplash will be highly durable and will provide you with many years of lasting beauty.
