MGW Limited Lifetime Warranty on Workmanship

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Marble Granite World, Inc. (MGW) warrants a limited lifetime protection that all fabricated stone products will be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use.

i. MGW provides a Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty (LLWW) covering defects that arise solely from MGW’s fabrication or installation workmanship. Coverage applies only to the original purchaser and installation address.
ii. MGW’s liability is limited to repair or replacement of the affected area at MGW’s discretion. No incidental or consequential damages are covered.
iii. Chips, cracks, stains, scratches, etching, and pitting are covered under the LLWW when they are reported to MGW within 10 business days of installation and if MGW determines they were not caused by negligence or any third-party.

i. The LLWW does not cover:
a. Chips, cracks, stains, scratches, etching, or pitting that occur after installation.
b. Damage from misuse, impact, heat, chemicals, water, or household activities.
c. Damage caused by building movement, cabinets settling, plumbing/gas/electrical issues, or third-party.
d. Natural characteristics of stone, such as fissures, pits, texture variations, resin spots, or color/pattern differences.
e. Any modifications or alterations made after MGW completes installation.

i. Customer’s may purchase the Granite Gold 5- or 10-year Protection Plan, which covers accidental damage that the MGW LLWW does not, including stains, chips, cracks, etching, hard-water marks, pitting, seam issues, and more.
ii. The Granite Gold Protection Plan is separate from and in addition to MGW’s LLWW. MGW does not perform service for Granite Gold claims unless directed by the plan administrator.

i. Natural stone contains fissures, pits, and variations in color, pattern, and sheen due to its unique mineral makeup. These features are inherent and are considered part of the stone’s natural beauty, not defects. They cannot be fabricated out.
ii. Because stone is porous, surface texture and smoothness will vary from piece to piece, even within the same lot. Natural stone will never feel as smooth as glass.
iii. Engineered materials such as quartz, porcelain, and other sintered or ultra-compact stone may also contain minor blemishes, inconsistencies, or tonal variations that are acceptable within manufacturer standards.
iv. No stone is indestructible. All materials can scratch, stain, scorch, chip, or crack if not properly cared for.
v. Due to the weight and rigidity of stone, small chips or cracks can occur during fabrication, transport, or installation; these are repaired using professional stone repair methods and are not considered defects.
vi. Certain materials have unique characteristics. It is the customer’s responsibility to thoroughly educate themselves about the unique properties of each stone. Information about each stone type can be found at www.marblegraniteworld.com/products
